Pre-Vocational Training

Home / Pre-Vocational Training

Swabodhini’s Prevocational Skills Training programme prepares adolescents and young adults with Autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions for meaningful employment and independent adulthood.

This structured programme focuses on building foundational work-related skills before transitioning into formal vocational training or employment. We emphasize essential competencies such as attention and task completion, following instructions, time management, workplace behaviour, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Students are gradually introduced to structured tasks that simulate real work environments — including sorting, assembling, packaging, data entry basics, office support tasks, and production-oriented activities. These activities help develop stamina, accuracy, responsibility, and consistency.

In addition to task-based training, we work on social communication, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and adaptability — critical skills for workplace success. Functional academics and money management are also integrated to enhance practical independence.

Through continuous assessment and individualized goal setting, we identify each student’s strengths, interests, and aptitude areas. This allows us to guide them toward suitable vocational pathways with confidence and clarity.

At Swabodhini, prevocational training is the bridge between learning and livelihood — transforming potential into employable ability.
