Established in June 2024, the Selaiyur Centre is Swabodhini’s fourth centre, dedicated to serving children and young adults with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and other developmental disabilities in South Chennai. The centre provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every individual receives personalized support to develop essential life skills and achieve greater independence.
Our comprehensive services include Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Training, Yoga, and Functional Skill Development. Through individualized educational and therapeutic interventions, we focus on enhancing communication, learning, behaviour, social participation, and independent living skills.
In June 2026, the centre expanded its scope with the inauguration of a Vocational Skilling Centre, offering both pre-vocational and vocational training programmes. These programmes equip young adults with practical skills, preparing them for employment, independent living, and meaningful participation in society.
