Founded in 1989, Swabodhini is a Chennai-based organization dedicated to empowering individuals with Autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions through structured education, therapeutic support, and vocational training. Over the past three decades, we have grown steadily and are now catering to over 170 children and young adults across four centres — Thiruvanmiyur, Velachery, Tondiarpet, and Selaiyur.
We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Our holistic approach integrates special education, life skills development, mental health support, and employability training to help our students transition meaningfully into adulthood.
Over the years, we have successfully placed young adults in inclusive work environments, including multinational companies, demonstrating that neurodivergent individuals can thrive when given the right support.
At Swabodhini, we work not only with students but also with families and employers — building an inclusive ecosystem that nurtures abilities, fosters confidence, and creates sustainable pathways to independence.
