Foreword 

Warm greetings from Swabodhini!

December began on a high note with a wonderful street theatre performance on Road Safety by our students in celebration of World Disability Day. The children from all three of our centers showcased their talents in skits at their respective locations, receiving great appreciation from the public.

We are excited to share that our student, Mr. Dakshinamurthy, has secured a position in the HR department at Acqueon Technologies INC. In addition, a sensitization program was held for Acqueon Technologies employees to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace for individuals with special needs.

We are also proud to announce that two of our students were selected at the District level and participated in the State-level competition organized by Special Olympics Bharath – Tamil Nadu.

Our Velachery center hosted an interactive engagement program for the employees of IBS Software and Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd that encouraged them to join our children in fun learning activities, making the event both enjoyable and educational.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Shiva’s Music for a Cause for their support through a live-streamed orchestra concert on YouTube, in aid of Swabodhini.

As we concluded the second term, the management and staff from all four centers met with their respective parents to share updates on their children’s progress.

Finally, we celebrated Christmas and birthdays with joy and enthusiasm before heading into the winter break.

Road Safety Awareness Road Show in Chennai

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column el_class=”img-gallery”][vc_column_text]In commemoration of World Disability Day, a remarkable road show on Road Safety was conducted across our three centres in Chennai. Our students passionately performed at each location to raise awareness among the public.

• 3rd December: Thiruvanmiyur ECR Road
• 4th December: Velachery Guru Nanak Salai
• 5th December: Tollgate Metro Junction Thiruvotriyur

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Maran, a professor, film director, and lyricist. Regional traffic police officers also participated, providing invaluable support. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the press for covering the event and amplifying our message.

Building Bonds: Employee Engagement Program by Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd

They conducted interactive games and spent quality time with the students, creating an enjoyable and stimulating experience. Empowering Connections: IBS Software’s Employee Engagement Program

The activities included making fruit kebabs, conducting mock interviews, and creating a simulated bank setup with an ATM. Employees actively assisted our students in each activity, ensuring a fun and educational experience.

Melodies for a Mission: Shiva’s Live Orchestra in Support of Our School

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Shiva’s Music for a Cause conducted a captivating 2.5-hour live orchestra show in support of our school. The performance was live streamed on our YouTube channel, allowing a wider audience to join and enjoy the musical experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Shiva’s Music for organizing such a wonderful program to support our cause.
